It has been a while since I blogged last, first of due to work draining me of any energy to do anything. But that is getting better. Last year I got pulled over again for having no insurance on our vehicle, I was able to get out of jail and make a few payments then lost my job and instead of going to the judge to ask for more time, I just let it go and figured when i get my taxes, I will pay it off. Well Saturday night when we got home, there was a card from an officer of the police dept on our door asking me to call him. I did so and he said I should come to court on Thursday and plead my case since I had a warrent for my arrest and he would rather have me do that then take his time taking me to jail. So I fretted all week long. On Sunday, I felt sick and even dry heaved that morning. Then i got sicker from there out. I could not work on monday because I now had the flu. My temp went up to 103 Monday night and I called in sick to work for Tuesday. Our home teachers came over and gave me a blessing Monday night and it did help. Wednesday I was still weak but Chris and I went out and did a few things. Tried to get to bed early enough on Wednesday night so that I could be good to work on Thursday, but came in to work and only worked 4 hours. It was all my body could take. I came home, got showered, rested a bit and then we headed down to the court house. After waiting for what felt like eternity, I got my turn at the hot seat and he asked if I had read and understood the sheet for the statement, I said I had. He informed me that I had a statewide warrent for my arrest and asked if I had the bail money to pay. I told him I did not, he then informed me that I would be going to jail. So he had me sit back down and for nearly an hour I tried to tell Chris through the glass that i was going to jail, and I needed bail. When the court officer(police chief of Sunset) saw I was trying to make contact with Chris, he came over and asked if I would like to go speak to her. I asked if I could, he said no problem. I let Chris know, and then we had a hard choice to make. I called the Bishop and explained to him the situation. The bail to get out from going to jail was $975. 850 for the fine, and the other for court costs. He said he would see what he could do. Nearly 30 mins later as I was still sitting there in the court praying that the Lord would see some sort of miracle, Chris signaled me that he was there and we could get it done. Got it paid, and our Bishop asked if he could meet with us in his office later that night. We said we would. Paid the court, went back upstairs, waited for my time to show the judge the bail was paid. He called me back up, looked over everything and closed the case, and told me if this ever happens again, to just show up for court if I ever got in a bind and couldn't pay. He would be happy to work with me if I just let him know instead of just brushing it off. So that is taken care of.
Later that night, we went to the church to meet with the Bishop. We sat down and went over what we had to pay, how much we were getting and what he could do to help. He saw that we go good for a bit then have a bump in the road that sets us back a bit. He also shared and made a copy of a letter from Elder Callister of the 70. He was writing on behalf of the 1st Presidency and letting us know that they had received the letter and that President Johnson had sent off the letter prematurly. It could not be processed until at least a year passed the date of the most recent reinstatement to full fellowship. Which would be around late September. Just a week or so before Chris is due to deliver. So now at least we know. It will take another 6 months of waiting to have the blessings restored. It wasn't the answer we were hoping for, but at least we have an answer. So I have a thought that for the new baby blessing, we would hold off, until my parents are here, or if they could come in November and have my dad be part of the circle, I think that would be really great that he could be there for it. Also we thought of going and getting all of us sealed after the birth of the baby too. At least Chris and I could go get her endowments and then get sealed later. So that is the plan for now. And that is what has been going on.
This is a blog about me. My faults, achievements, life in general, and other things that go on. I had another blog about my short stories, I may have to reopen it and write again. So enjoy, cry, laugh or throw up. These are the days of my life.

Fun filled weekend
Well it has been some time since I have been able to sit and blog. A lot has gone on since the last time I blogged. Chris got fired from her job, I got a job working for Kent's Market in their bakery, last Saturday we were able to go down to the Draper Temple open house and life just goes and goes.
First off, yes Chris was fired from Godfathers for having a "Power Problem." So she has appealed to GF corporate and the owner of the franchise but nothing as of so far. She also applied for Unemployment and had gotten it. So we are good there. Weekly pay from the state to supplement what I can't pay for.
Second, I got the job working for Kent's in their bakery. For two weeks straight I was working 5 days straight. What a pain. My legs hurt, my feet hurt, and same with my back. But this week it may be better. That first week we had a early bird special on Saturday and that was a bugger. We were slinging dough all day long. It was crazy. But it is a good job and they pay well. I am hoping in the next few weeks I will be getting paid what I asked for. We have a good crew that I work with and we have a lot of fun.
And lastly but not in the least, we drove down to Draper to see the temple and the open house. Even with the cold temps it was incredible to be there. I thought the open house for the Sacramento Temple was amazing, the Draper Temple was so much more. It was three floors that we walked up the stairs for. That was a pain but it was so cool to walk into the Celestial Room and be able to hold hands with Chris while walking through it and talking little about what we will be doing and seeing there when we are able to go through for ourselves. We also were able to take the kids with us too. They thought it was pretty neat. Afterwards, Kevin took us to a really good Chinese Buffet in Taylorsville. It was so good. Some of the best i have ever had here. There is one in Riverdale and Roy that are good too, but that one was the best so far. We may have to go down there at least once every 6 months or so. We will see.
So life is going good, blessings are coming in slowly but surely. Also last week Chris and I were called as Nursery workers. Last Sunday we were along in there to take care of the kids. We wasn't exactly sure of what to do, but we did good I think. I feel that the kids and us both had fun. So it's all good. Well that's all for now, I need to go run some errands.

My testimony to my family
I sit here and write according to my knowledge and testimony, so that my family, and many generations afterwards, may know and gain the same knowledge as I have. I do not boast in my knowledge only that I know it to be true, given to me by God himself, through the Holy Ghost, which if you were to ponder, read, and then pray to know the truth of all things as Moroni suggests in his last chapter of the Book of Mormon. I know God loves me and knows who I am. He sent his Son, my redeemer Jesus Christ to pay for my sins, and to die for me so that I may return to God and be with him forever. He is my older brother, friend and companion. I know he lived and taught his gospel to us in the days of old and did so to the Prophet Joseph. I testify that he is a Prophet of God and it is through his hands, the Book of Mormon came about. It is through this book of holy writ, we can come closer to God by living its teachings. I know we have a living prophet today; His name is Thomas S. Monson. I have not seen him with my natural eyes, but I have heard his word, have felt his spirit, and followed his council. He leads and guides this church by the power of Revelation given to him by the same power I have gained my knowledge. Through the spirit. I have not always done the right things in life and have taken the hard road, but as Joseph said, this knowledge I know and I know that God knows this and I cannot deny it. Those things pertaining to the kingdom of God are of him, to pay tithing, give fast offerings, serve in the church, read the scriptures, and follow the prophet. If we just do these simple yet large things the Lord will bless you in your lives. I write this not knowing the future or what the Lord has for me, but I write only what I feel is what I need to do. I pray that you may read these words, feel of my spirit and know that it is all true and follow the promptings you feel from the spirit. I love you and bear you this witness and do so in the sacred name of our brother, even the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
